The Sun Smells Too Loud.

on one long easter weekend christian, kawika, brian, and I flew to kona on the big island of hawaii and raced at the 2011 hawaii state time trials. we named our team “manago machine 52X18” to honor our fallen friend.

all the communal meals, the restless nights in an empty unfamiliar apartment, and shared weekend with three comrades made me realize how much I respect them. bicycle racing was the mission but not forefront.

and then it was over. the return to normalcy was far too haste.

Unorganized Sundays - Kapolei Sprints.

about a week ago kawika samson found an unused road in kapolei - ironically titled "the second city." kawika told daniel whom told everyone else. and on easter sunday a group of friends traveled to the other side of oahu to race bicycles along a new unopened road. mark mizusawa filmed and edited a video of their adventures.
