the third installment of dale dolejsi's "superprestige hawaii" cyclocross race was decidedly holiday-themed. john girmsey showed up in a full santa cyclocross outfit and a sled with "surly" decals. the course was altered much more then previous, including a barrier in the middle of the largest hill - forcing everyone to dismount/remount - and long gravel straightaways of breakaway speed. the end of the race was met with nifty prizes including vintage compact discs for audio enjoyment. with the next race's promise of an entirely "new course," it is destined to be a rousing good time.
